Personal Information Collected
We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our website. Your IP address is used to help us to gather demographic information, but does not reveal your individual identity. We may also use information gathered from IP addresses to statistically analyze site usage, and to improve our marketing, content, and promotional efforts.
Occasionally, our site's forms require visitors to give us contact information (like their name and email address).
What Your Personal Information is Used For.
Requests to Add Links - For those organizations and individuals that complete forms requesting us to add a hyperlink to our site, we may use contact information from these forms to notify these individuals and organizations of any changes to our site which may affect their link, or any reciprocal links that they may have to the Plant Maintenance Resource Center website. We may also use this information to contact the visitor when necessary to clarify any items relating to the link request being submitted.
Surveys - We may use contact information from survey forms to contact the visitor when necessary to clarify any items relating to the survey being completed. In addition, where specifically requested by the visitor, we may contact the visitor to provide notification publication of the final survey results. Individual visitor details and individual survey responses will not, under any circumstances, be provided to any third party organisations without the express consent of the visitor concerned. In addition, any published analysis of survey results will be presented in such a manner as to prevent identification of the individual response from any visitor, or the response from any specific organisation.
M-News Newsletters - Where specifically requested by the visitor, we will use the visitor's contact details to issue, on a regular basis, by email, the newsletter that has been requested. However, visitors are able to choose, at any time, to no longer receive these newsletters.
Discussion Forum - Where specifically requested by the visitor, we will add the visitor's email address to our majordomo email server which administers the plantmaint Maintenance discussion forum. When participating in discussion on the forum, this may mean that the visitor's email address is visible to other members of the discussion forum. However, non-members do not have access to email addresses from the forum. Visitors are able to choose, at any time, to no longer participate in the discussion forum.
Promotional Information - Where specifically requested by the visitor, we will use the visitor's contact details to send the visitor information and promotional material regarding our company and its products and services, as well as information and promotional material from other selected, trusted, and relevant organizations. Promotional material from other organizations will be reviewed by us for its relevance to our visitors, and, if approved, will be issued by us. At no stage, will promotional partners be provided access to the contact details of our visitors. Visitors are able to choose, at any time, not to receive promotional information.
Credit Card Information - All credit card transactions are processed by a Secure Server, and credit card details are only used to process any purchase transactions specifically requested by the visitor, and are not stored beyond the time necessary to verify the transaction requested.
With Whom We May Share Information
At no stage will we disclose any visitor's personal or contact information to any third party without their direct and express consent.
Only those Plant Maintenance Resource Center employees that have a legitimate business purpose for accessing and handling personal information obtained by us are given authorisation to do so. The unauthorised access or use of such information by a Plant Maintenance Resource Center employee is prohibited and constitutes grounds for disciplinary action.
Additionally, our information management systems are configured in such a way as to block or inhibit employees from accessing information that they have no authority to access.
