Reliability Workbench - Failure Rate Prediction - Failure rate prediction is one part of the Reliability Workbench package. Each of the failure rate prediction methods have the same general form. They provide you with a powerful visual interface through which you can select components and define the conditions in which they operate such as the temperature or environmental conditions. The prediction software then carries out the failure rate calculation as defined by the standard and gives you the result. The MIL-217, Telcordia(Bellcore), RDF 2000 and GJB/Z 299B are mainly for electronic components and the NSWC handbook deals with mechanical components.

RiskVu - RiskVu provides a high level interface for probabilistic safety assessment studies for performing Probabilistic Risk Assessments (PRA's). It may be used by operators and managers who are not familiar with risk assessment techniques but who wish to determine the effects of maintenance outages or changes in reliability data and event frequencies on the risks associated with a system. RiskVu also performs cost benefit analyses. RiskVu uses the data from a FaultTree+ study and presents it in the form of a failure event hierarchy. The user can modify some aspects of the model such as failure rates or equipment outages. The quantitative analysis is then repeated and the results displayed in report or graphical form.

Weibull Pro - It is often convenient to characterise failure or repair data in terms of a probability distribution that can then be used in further analyses. WeibullPro provides a very convenient method for you to correlate the data to a distribution and obtain the relevant parameters. You can enter your failure and repair data directly into the WeibullPro table or use the import facility to obtain data from a 'comma seperated values' (CSV) text file. Now all that you need to do is choose from 1-, 2- or 3-parameter Weibull distributions or exponential, lognormal or normal distributions. WeibullPro automatically fits the selected distribution to the data provided and displays the results graphically in the form of culmulative probability density plots and conditional probability density plots. The plots may be viewed on the screen or printed to a report together with the data on which the distribution is based.
